7.0/10

I enjoyed my stay at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, especially the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast was varied and high quality, which I appreciated. However, I encountered a few issues with staff responsiveness that left me slightly disappointed. Overall, it was a good experience with some room for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
My room was initially a bit of a hassle to sort out, as I was originally booked into a twin instead of a double. After a night in a twin, I was moved to a lovely bigger room with a king bed and a great view. The bedding was really comfortable, making me feel at home.
Service
7.0
Most staff were friendly and helpful, but I did have a couple of disappointing experiences at the front desk, particularly regarding meal options for early departures. While general service was good, some staff responses felt less accommodating than I would have hoped.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated slightly outside the city center, but it’s easy to walk to town—or you can take the bus, which stops right outside. I actually enjoyed the peaceful location, with beautiful views from my room, especially from higher floors.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a delight with a wide range of options available. I loved the skyr yogurt and the variety of hot items. However, I did find the coffee choices not up to my taste, as I prefer a traditional coffee rather than filtered options.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel boasts nice facilities, including a fully equipped gym, which I appreciated. Additionally, the availability of tea and coffee in the room and free treats in the lobby added to a pleasant experience. I did visit the bar once and found the prices on the high side.

5.2/10

During my stay at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, I experienced a mix of positives and negatives. The room was bright and the hotel staff went out of their way to assist me, which I appreciated. However, the lack of blackout curtains made it hard to sleep during the midnight sun, and some amenities felt lacking. Overall, I would consider returning but would hope for improvements.

Rooms
8.0
My room was bright but not overly spacious. The views of the surrounding mountains were lovely, providing a nice backdrop during my stay.
Service
9.0
The service was pleasant and the staff were incredibly helpful, particularly at the front desk. They took the time to assist me with local tours and recommendations, which made my experience better.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located just outside the city center but is conveniently close to many local restaurants and offers free bus passes to explore Reykjavik. While it’s not in the heart of the city, it provides easy access for those looking to venture out.
Dining
9.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great variety of fresh items. The Vox restaurant also stood out with its delicious seafood dishes. Although I missed some Icelandic specialties, the quality was impressive.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were nice, especially the gym, which was well-equipped. However, my request for additional amenities like more coffee capsules was sometimes overlooked, which was a bit disappointing.

5.6/10

During my stay at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, I appreciated the clean and spacious room with stunning views over Mount Esja. However, the location posed some challenges as it was a bit far from the city center, and the service often felt lacking, particularly in the dining areas. The efficiency of the staff varied, with some members being exceptionally helpful while others seemed uninspired. Overall, it had its highlights, but I expected more from a Hilton hotel. 🌄🛏️

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a great-sized bathroom and stunning views over the surrounding areas. I suffered no disturbances from noise despite being close to the elevators.
Service
6.0
While the front desk staff was generally friendly and helpful, I encountered some less enthusiastic responses in the dining areas, which impacted my overall impression of the service.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is a bit outside of downtown Reykjavik, requiring a 20-30 minute walk and cross a busy road. They do provide a convenient bus service, which helps mitigate this issue but still kept me from fully enjoying the city.
Dining
7.0
I found the breakfast selection to be extensive and of high quality, with fresh ingredients. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant felt a bit off, and some dining staff seemed less approachable.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities of the hotel, like the spa services and gym, contributed positively to my stay, offering relaxation after a long day of exploring.

5.0/10

My stay at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica was a mixed bag. The Executive Lounge was a fantastic perk, offering great food and a cozy place to hang out. However, the room was stuffy with limited ventilation, and the reception service had its hiccups. Overall, I enjoyed the view and the spa, but a few issues made it less than perfect.

Rooms
7.0
The Executive Queen Deluxe room was spacious with beautiful views of the mountains and bay. However, the room felt stuffy because the windows only opened a crack, and I struggled with some road noise from outside.
Service
6.0
The staff, especially Viktor at the front desk, were super helpful and tried to address our concerns. However, my experience checking in could have been smoother, as I didn’t receive an apology when my key didn’t work.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was a bit far from downtown, requiring a bus or a walk. But the complementary bus pass made it easy to get into the city center quickly when I wanted to explore.
Dining
8.0
Dining at Vox was a highlight, with a solid lunch buffet and tasty offerings. The Executive Lounge provided more food options that saved me some money during my stay.
Facilities
8.0
The spa was a nice retreat with hot tubs and free massages, and I appreciated the fitness center. It added to the overall experience of relaxation.

6.8/10

I just returned from a four-night stay at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica for a friend's birthday. While check-in was smooth and they pleasantly surprised us with cheese and wine for the celebration, my room was disappointingly small and lacked water pressure in the shower. The location, while a bit far from downtown, had public transport right outside and beautiful views, though I found the breakfast overpriced and only average in quality.

Rooms
6.0
My room was very small, with limited space to hang things. The water pressure in the shower was low, and the overall ambiance didn't match the luxury I expected.
Service
8.0
The staff assisted us kindly, especially with the birthday arrangements, and were quite helpful at the tour desk. However, the reception was sometimes busy, impacting responsiveness.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located outside the city center, around a half-hour walk to downtown. The buses stop right outside, making it convenient for travel, but I would have preferred a closer location.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast offered a wide variety, but I found it very expensive and only average. The Vox restaurant was a highlight with quality dining experiences, particularly their seafood.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had nice amenities and free bus passes, but I did experience noise issues from the fitness center and parties on the second floor. The executive lounge was underwhelming, lacking in variety.
